FLY HIGHER WITH AVCON JET TRAINING

Avcon Jet Africa, the South African leaders in Pilot training, are offering a highly discounted Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training program. The PPL is also known as a recreational pilot's license. This license allows you to fly during the day time, in good weather conditions and the hours you build up are logged towards you commercial license. You may fly alone and have passengers with you. You may not fly for remuneration or financial reward. This is a very exciting part of your career as you fly to destinations you have never seen from above and you learn skills that can only be learnt through taking controls of the aircraft by yourself.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age

South African students must be at least 17 years of age and international students must be 18 or older.

Academics

Completed secondary education (high school), ideally achieving a pass in the English language.

Health

Before training begins, you’ll need an examination to test your hearing, eyesight, coordination, and overall health

About the course

There will be 8 written exams in the following subjects. They will be completed on the computer and the courses may be self studied or by ground school. Ground school is in group format and blocked in advance. The pass mark for each subject is 75%.

Instructors

You will be trained by Qualified and Experienced Flight Instructors in both the Theoretical and Practical Aspects of becoming a pilot.

Fleet

All of the training aircraft are owned, maintained and operated exclusively by Avcon. This ensures uninterrupted aeroplane availability to students.

Experience

The flight training course comprises of a total of 45 hrs. The flight training course will commence simultaneously with the theoretical training course.
